Practice Frustrations

Do you ever have nights where ever little detail of your playing really grates your ears? Where nothing you are doing is right? This is me tonight.

Last weekend I have the privilege to drive up to Seattle, WA to have a lesson with Barry Lieberman. One of the things he pointed out about my playing is that he did not like my bow stroke. While I am in need of developing my bow technique further, I have really struggled this week to produce a sounds with my bow that I think is worth while. This could be that I am finally being self aware of my stroke. If that is the case, my practice sessions will be frustrating for a while.

Here is to power through the hard and low moments in our art.
